Spare key

A spare key is the key you set aside for use if something happens to your normal key. You will normally get a spare key when you purchase a lock and sometimes you will get more than one spare key. You can hide the spare key somewhere safe or you can give it to someone you trust. If you leave it inside your house then it will do you no good if you get locked out and so you have to find somewhere else to keep it. If the lock you purchased didn’t come with a spare key then you will have to go to a store that has the machine to cut keys and have a spare copy made. This doesn’t cost much and you can even get a couple of copies made and keep them in different places so you can be sure that you can always have access to your home. If you have experienced being locked out before then you know that it is not a good feeling and if you haven’t well then you don’t want that to happen to you. You will never stop asking yourself why you didn’t just get a spare key but then it would be too late for that. If you are all about saving time and money then you should have spares because locks aren’t getting cheaper and the same goes for door repairs. Ensure you have spare keys to all your locks today!
